On today’s The Drive, Paul Swann breaks down the $100,000 fine the Sun Belt Conference handed Marshall for withdrawing from the Independence Bowl, with comments from Athletic Director Christian Spears.

Paul also caught up with new Marshall football coach Tony Gibson and basketball coach Cornelius Jackson.

Plus, a recap of Marshall’s 67-64 loss to James Madison, where Jalen Speer led with 20 points, Mikal Dawson added 15, and Obinna Anochili-Killen recorded a double-double. Despite a strong second-half rally, turnovers and JMU’s dominance in the paint made the difference.
